GenRock Basecoat is a premium-quality automotive refinishing paint system designed for a multi-stage application. It meets and exceeds customers' expectations with its rich color matching, rapid dry time, and exceptional metallic flake alignment when completed with a clear topcoat. GenRock Basecoat is a highly accurate toner-based system. It yields ultimate durability and outstanding resistance to UV rays and environmental chemicals once clearcoated.

• Ratio: Mix 100% GenRock Basecoat with 75% GenRock Thinner (e.g., S711 Normal, S719 Fast, or S721 Slow) General Refinish.
• Hardener: Do not add hardener to this basecoat General Refinish.
• Size 3.5L.
• Viscosity: Target a spray thickness of 18–19 seconds using a DIN 4mm cup at 20°C General Refinish. 

• Nozzle: Use a 1.3 mm to 1.4 mm fluid tip General Refinish.
• Pressure: Set the inlet pressure to 2.0 to 2.5 bar (or 0.7 bar at the air-cap for HVLP guns) General Refinish. 

• Application: Apply 2 to 2.5 full coats to achieve complete hiding General Refinish.
• Flash Off: Allow 5 minutes of flash-off time between coats General Refinish.
• Drop Coat: For metallic colors (like Moondust Silver), apply a light drop coat after the main coats to evenly orient the metallic flakes General Refinish.

• Dry Time: Wait until the final basecoat layer turns completely matte General Refinish.
• Topcoat: Apply 2 coats of a compatible General 2K Clearcoat (such as Accelero 5600 or Super Fast 5000 Clear) to provide gloss, UV stability, and weather protection.
